This has been a labor of love and effort to bring this book to life. I wrote this book to speak to that 23-year old kid (me) who felt that life was not fair because he couldn't see how it was possible to obtain a life of success and happiness. I wrote this book to speak to him and others who feel that success in life and business is not for them. I also want this book to inspire those into believing that life can be wonderful and full of prosperity if you believe you deserve more and are willing to do the work. Life is a journey that is meant to be enjoyed.If you want to change your life, today is the day to begin that transformation. Always expect greatness from your efforts and be a beacon of light for those who are watching. Life will not be given to you but you can get everything you desire if you are willing to do what it takes. I wish nothing but the best for you in your life and I will leave you with this last thought: You only have one life to live, so why are you wasting it? John Lynch (1927–2018) fue un destacado historiador británico especializado en la historia de España y América Latina. Nació el 11 de enero de 1927 en Boldon, Inglaterra, y estudió en la Universidad de Edimburgo y en la Universidad de Londres, donde obtuvo su doctorado. A lo largo de su carrera académica se convirtió en una de las principales autoridades mundiales en la historia de las independencias hispanoamericanas y del Imperio español.

Gran parte de su trayectoria profesional transcurrió en el University College London y en el Instituto de Estudios Latinoamericanos de la Universidad de Londres, institución que dirigió entre 1974 y 1987. Sus investigaciones se centraron en los procesos políticos, sociales y económicos que transformaron América Latina entre los siglos XVIII y XIX.

Entre sus obras más influyentes destacan Las revoluciones hispanoamericanas, 1808-1826, Caudillos en Hispanoamérica, Bourbon Spain y las reconocidas biografías de Simón Bolívar y José de San Martín. Sus libros son considerados referencias fundamentales para comprender la formación de los estados latinoamericanos modernos.

John Lynch falleció el 4 de abril de 2018, dejando un legado académico de enorme importancia para la historiografía internacional.
