Synopsis "You're Not Crazy And You're Not Alone: Losing the Victim, Finding Your Sense of Humor, and Learning to Love Yourself Through Hashimoto's"

You're Not Crazy and You're Not Alone: Losing the Victim, Finding Your Sense of Humor, and Learning to Love Yourself Through Hashimoto's by Stacey Robbins shines a flashlight on the emotional, physical, and spiritual journey within women with this autoimmune dis-ease. Stacey explores the common areas that women with Hashi's struggle: like perfectionism and self-rejection -- and common past experiences -- like abuse or injury. Stacey inspires women to look at their lives, and Hashimoto's differently, and to use this diagnosis as an opportunity for inner healing, greater happiness, and loving themselves.

Dr. Izabella Wentz is a clinical pharmacist and American expert in functional medicine, known for her focus on treating Hashimoto's thyroiditis and other autoimmune diseases. After being diagnosed with this condition in 2009, Dr. Wentz turned her personal experience into a professional mission: to help others address the underlying causes of their autoimmune diseases.

Graduated in Pharmacy from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy, Dr. Wentz has supplemented her education with studies in functional medicine through institutions such as The Institute for Functional Medicine and Kalish Functional Medicine. She is the author of several bestsellers, including Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis: Lifestyle Interventions for Finding and Treating the Root Cause (2013), Hashimoto’s Protocol (2017), and Hashimoto’s Food Pharmacology (2020), which combine evidence-based health protocols with recipes designed to support thyroid function.

Additionally, Dr. Wentz has founded the Hashimoto’s Institute, an educational platform for health professionals, and has developed the Rootcology line of supplements, focused on people with autoimmune thyroid diseases. Her work has been featured in media such as USA Today, The New York Times, and Fox News Channel.

Currently, she resides near Boulder, Colorado, with her husband Michael and her dog Boomer.
