Alfredo Paredes

Alfredo Paredes is an outstanding American interior designer and creative director, known for his narrative approach and his ability to create environments that evoke emotions and memories. Born in the United States, Paredes studied fashion illustration and visual arts at the Art Institute of Atlanta. His career took off after working at Laura Ashley and Britches of Georgetown, which led him to join Ralph Lauren in 1986. For 33 years, he played key roles, including Executive Creative Director, overseeing the design of stores, restaurants, and the Ralph Lauren Home studio.

In 2019, Paredes founded his own studio in New York and Miami, aiming to create extraordinary environments and memorable experiences. His focus is on storytelling through design, using vintage elements and natural materials to achieve spaces that feel personal and authentic.

His book Alfredo Paredes at Home, published in 2025 by Rizzoli, offers an intimate look at four of his personal residences, revealing his creative process and design philosophy. The book highlights his ability to transform ordinary spaces into homes full of character and warmth.

Throughout his career, Paredes has worked with notable clients, including Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, and George Clooney, and has completed projects in places like Mexico and New York.
