Arnaldur Indridason
He is the author, among other crime novels, of Jar City, which received the Glass Key Award for the best Nordic crime novel in 2002, and Voices, winner of the Martin Beck Award for the best crime novel translated into Swedish. With The Draining Lake he won the Gold Dagger, establishing him as a benchmark for the best European crime narrative. He has also won the French Critics' Prize for Best Crime Novel and the RBA Prize for Crime Fiction. A successful writer, his works have sold over 18 million copies and have been translated into more than 40 languages.
