C. S. Pacat
C.S. Pacat (1979, Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian writer who during her youth lived in several cities such as Perugia, where she studied at the University of Perugia and in Tokyo, where she lived for five years. In addition to her training in literature, she trained as a geologist and worked as a translator before fully dedicating herself to writing.
From a young age, Pacat found refuge in fantasy literature, especially as a way to escape from a complicated family environment. She began her literary career by publishing in unconventional internet spaces, such as forums and fanfiction platforms, until her work caught the attention of major publishers.
She is one of the best-selling authors of the New York Times and USA-Today for Dark Rise, the Captive Prince trilogy, and the GLAAD-nominated graphic novels Fence, and is also a writer for DC Comics.
Currently, C.S. Pacat remains active as a writer, developing new installments of the Dark Rise trilogy and expanding the universe of Fence in both comic and novel formats.
