Cristian Valencia
Writer and journalist. Known for his stories originating from the most remote areas of vast Colombian geography. In 2016, he won the Simón Bolivar National Journalism Award, in the opinion and analysis category, for his column "Postcards from La Guajira", published in the newspaper El Tiempo. His chronicles have been published in magazines such as Gatopardo, SoHo, Cromos, Semana, and Credencial. He published the chronicles section There are days I wake up dead (Debate Random House-Mondadori, 2007); and the novels The Trail of Irene (Planeta, 2001); Dragon's Logbook (Planeta, 2003); Lost in Carsociti (Planeta, 2017); and Once Upon a Time in Chocó (Planeta, 2019)
