Ellet Waggoner
Ellet Joseph Waggoner (1855-1916) was a Seventh-day Adventist theologian and writer known for his contributions to the interpretation of justification by faith within Adventism. His most influential works include The Everlasting Covenant and Christ and His Righteousness (1890), which explore themes of salvation, grace, and the relationship between the law and the gospel.
Along with Alonzo T. Jones, Waggoner played a key role in the 1888 Minneapolis Conference, where his emphasis on the righteousness of Christ had a lasting impact on Adventist theology. His writings belong to the theological and doctrinal genre, being studied in Adventist circles to this day.
