Ezequiel Fernández Moores
Ezequiel Fernández Moores has been a journalist since 1978, when he covered the first of nine World Cups (a list that includes Mexico 86 and Qatar 2022). He worked at the news agencies Noticias Argentinas, DyN, and the Italian ANSA. He wrote for Página/12, Mística, El Periodista, TXT, trespuntos, and in foreign newspapers such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and El País and La Vanguardia from Spain. He wrote scripts and conducted research for TV documentaries (Mundial 78, the parallel story; Soccer passion, with Eduardo Galeano, and FIFA Gate. For the good of soccer for Public TV) and published three books: Díganme Ringo (Planeta), Brief history of Argentine sport (El Ateneo) and I play, therefore I am (Sudamericana). In 1997, the Konex Foundation recognized him as one of the best sports journalists of the decade. He currently writes for La Nación, Cenital, and Acción, and does radio on El Destape 1070 and Radio Ciudad de Buenos Aires.
