Fiona Staples
Fiona Staples is a prominent Canadian comic book artist born in Calgary, Alberta. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design and began her professional career in 2006 with the series Down to Death alongside writer Andrew Foley. Her first published work was Amphibious Nightmare, a 24-hour comic included in the anthology 24 Hour Comics Day Highlights in 2005.

Staples gained international recognition with the series Saga, written by Brian K. Vaughan and published by Image Comics in 2012. This science fiction epic, which tells the story of two deserting soldiers from warring planets trying to start a family, has been acclaimed for its unique visual style and deeply emotional narrative. Staples has been recognized as one of the most outstanding artists in the comic book industry, with multiple awards, including the Eisner, Harvey, and Hugo Awards.

In addition to her work on Saga, Staples has collaborated on other projects such as North 40, DV8: Gods and Monsters, T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents, Archie, and Mystery Society. Her style is characterized by fluid lines, expressive characters, and an ability to capture the strange and the wonderful. Staples resides in Calgary, where she continues her work as an illustrator and visual storyteller.
