Héctor García (Kirai)
Héctor García was born in Spain but has lived in Japan for 16 years. An engineer by profession, he worked at CERN (Switzerland) before moving to Japan.
In Tokyo, he earns a living working at an American multinational with a Japanese headquarters. He writes on the blog www.kirainet.com, a multiple award winner and a reference in the blogosphere for 16 years.
He is the author of Ikigai, A Geek in Japan, Moments, Ichigoichie, and Shinrinyoku among others, books that have sold more than a million copies worldwide. His book Ikigai, co-written with Francesc Miralles, published in 57 languages, has become the most translated book by Spanish authors in recent decades.
Besides his passion for Japanese culture and writing, Héctor enjoys spending time learning new things every day and philosophizing about any topic with his friends.
