Helen Hester
Helen Hester (United Kingdom, 1983) is a philosopher, researcher, and professor of Media and Communication at the University of West London. Her work focuses on technofeminism, social reproduction, and the politics of labor and gender. She is a member of the feminist collective Laboria Cuboniks, co-author of the Xenofeminist Manifesto (2015), which proposes a feminist politics oriented towards the strategic use of technology for social emancipation.

Among her most notable works are Xenofeminism: Gender Technologies and Reproductive Politics (2018), After Work: A History of Home and the Struggle for Free Time (2024, with Nick Srnicek), Beyond Explicit: Pornography and the Displacement of Sex (2014), and Fat Sex: New Directions in Theory and Activism (2015). These publications, in the field of philosophical essay and feminist theory, explore the intersection between technology, gender, and labor.
