Luis Vega Reñón
Luis Vega Reñón (Astorga, 1943 - Madrid, 2022) was a prominent philosopher and professor of Logic at the National University of Distance Education (UNED). He graduated in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid in 1968 and obtained his doctorate in 1974 with a thesis on Karl R. Popper. His academic career included research stays at the University of Cambridge and collaborations with institutions in Latin America.
Among his most notable works are "El análisis lógico: nociones y problemas" (1987), "La trama de la demostración" (1990), and "La fauna de las falacias" (2013). His work focused on the philosophy and history of logic and the theory of argumentation. He founded and directed the Ibero-American Journal of Argumentation, significantly contributing to the study of logic and argumentation in the Spanish-speaking world.
