María Cristina Ramos Guzmán
María Cristina Ramos Guzmán (San Rafael, Mendoza, May 5, 1952) is a renowned Argentine writer dedicated to children's and young adult literature, as well as a teacher and publisher. Since 1978, she has lived in Neuquén and in 2002 founded the Ruedamares publishing house. She has been awarded, among others, with the Ibero-American SM Prize in 2016 and was a finalist for the Hans Christian Andersen in 2020-
Among her notable works are Belisario y los espejos de agua (2003), Azul la cordillera (1995), and La luna lleva un silencio (2005). Her production spans narrative and poetry for children and young adults. Not all have been awarded, but her career is extensive and has a notable regional impact.
