Throughout her professional career, Bernal held significant roles in various institutions. In Antioquia, she led social welfare departments in companies like Enka and Corporación Fabricato, and worked at the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF) in Bogotá. Additionally, she was the human resources manager at CONCASA and vice president of organizational development at Computec. In Quindío, she dedicated herself to human development consulting and was a founding professor at Universidad Alexander Von Humboldt. She also actively participated in social reconstruction processes after natural disasters and on the Board of Directors of the Alejandro Londoño Foundation.
Together with Lopera, Bernal co-wrote the successful series La culpa es de la vaca, a collection of short stories that promote values such as tolerance, generosity, and faith. This book has been translated into several languages and has sold over 500,000 copies in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. Her literary legacy continues to be a source of inspiration in the field of personal and organizational development.
