Óscar Contardo
Writer and journalist. Has written for Artes y Letras of El Mercurio, El Sábado magazine, and Gatopardo. Currently a columnist for Reportajes de La Tercera and Revista Caras.
Some of his works have been included in the books Crónicas de carnaval (Fundación Nuevo Periodismo Iberoamericano, 2006); Crónicas de otro planeta (Random House, 2009); The best hundred chronicles of 2010 (Ocho libros, 2010) and Los Malditos (Ediciones UDP, 2011).
He is the anthologist of Volver a los 17, memories of a generation under dictatorship (Planeta, 2013). In 2008 he published Siútico: upward mobility, downward mobility and social life in Chile, three years later Raro: a gay history of Chile. In 2012 he published the collection of columns Santiago Capital and in 2014 the biography Luis Oyarzún: A Walk with the Gods (Ediciones UDP).
