S.M. Alcaine
Sònia Meseguer Alcaine, known by her pseudonym S. M. Alcaine, is a Spanish writer and audiovisual translator born in Barcelona. She studied Translation and Interpretation at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and completed a Master's in Audiovisual Translation at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Additionally, she took a Course on Adjustment at the Barcelona Dubbing School, aimed at translators and dubbing actors.
In the literary field, Sònia began by self-publishing her novels, mainly in the genres of romance and fantasy. In 2023, she signed her first novel with a traditional publishing label: Ethan J. Goldman's Wish List, published by Titania. This work is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Ethan, a young man who, after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis, decides to complete a wish list with the help of Wild, a scholarship student. The novel has been well received for its mix of humor, emotion, and reflection on life and death.
