Toni Mula
Toni Mula is a Spanish illustrator known for his work in the field of video games and art book illustration. In 2021, he participated in the creation of The Hollow Book, a work that explores the universe of the video game Hollow Knight. This book, written by Roberto Pineda and accompanied by the illustrations of Mula, Isa Fernández, and Sergio Melero, offers a detailed analysis of the geography of Hallownest, its inhabitants and beasts, as well as its creators and the legend that has originated around it.
In 2024, Mula collaborated again in the expanded edition titled The Hollow Book: The Dark Pages of the Void, which includes 20 new pages and 9 unpublished illustrations. This deluxe edition features covers finished in canvas paper, metallic stampings, and black-tinted edges. Along with his team members, Mula has significantly contributed to the creation of a volume that delves into all the elements that make the work created by Team Cherry unique.
In addition to his participation in The Hollow Book, Mula has worked on other editorial projects, such as the AZUL Historia magazine, where he illustrated the issue dedicated to the genesis of Sonic the Hedgehog. His style is characterized by an attention to detail and an ability to capture the essence of the worlds he illustrates.
