Wayne Parsons
Wayne Parsons arrived in Hawaii from Michigan in 1967 as an astronomer and engineer and worked at the Haleakala Astronomical Observatory in Maui. At the observatory, he worked on the 1969 moon landing mission, where he was in communication with the astronauts when they landed on the moon. He fell in love with Hawaii and the ocean and changed his career path to become a lawyer. His connection with people led him to become a personal injury litigation attorney.

As a litigation attorney, Wayne Parsons has been involved in virtually every type of litigation in all Hawaiian courts, earning a reputation for succeeding even in the most complex cases. In the late 1970s, he represented several Hawaiian activists who claimed the island of Kaho'olawe and were charged with trespassing by the U.S. government. They were pioneers of the Hawaiian sovereignty movement in the Protect Kaho'olawe coalition.
