Stormie Omartian (nacida Virginia J. Sherk el 16 de septiembre de 1942 en Scottsbluff, Nebraska, EE. UU.) es una autora cristiana estadounidense muy conocida por su serie de libros espirituales y devocionales centrados en la oración y la vida de fe.

Inicialmente se dedicó al mundo del entretenimiento como cantante, actriz y bailarina, participando en programas de televisión y trabajando como vocalista de apoyo para artistas como Glen Campbell y Neil Diamond antes de iniciar su carrera como escritora. Tras ese paso, encontró su vocación principal en la literatura cristiana, enfocándose en enseñar y animar a los lectores a profundizar su relación con Dios a través de la oración.

Su obra más famosa es la serie The Power of Praying (El poder de la oración), que incluye títulos como The Power of a Praying Wife, The Power of a Praying Husband, The Power of a Praying Parent y The Power of a Praying Woman.
