Octavio Mestre is a Spanish architect who graduated with honors from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). After receiving various scholarships in European countries, he served as a professor in the Department of Theory and Composition at ETSAB from 1983 to 1988, and worked in the Planning Services of the Barcelona City Council from 1987 to 1990. In 1990, he founded his own studio, OMA Octavio Mestre Architects.

Among his notable projects is the HLM housing block in Toulouse, France, which won the National Award for Social Housing in 1993. Additionally, he has carried out the comprehensive renovation of the L’illa Diagonal Shopping Center and the Olivé Gumà Clinic in Barcelona. Recently, his studio has completed the headquarters of Magic Box in Sant Cugat del Vallès, selected by the ArchDaily platform as "Building of the Year" globally.
