Hideo Yamamoto es un reconocido mangaka japonés, nacido el 23 de junio de 1968 en Tokorozawa, prefectura de Saitama, Japón. Desde joven mostró interés por el dibujo y la narrativa, lo que lo llevó a iniciar su carrera en la industria del manga como asistente del reconocido autor Kenshi Hirokane. En 1988 obtuvo el Premio Tetsuya Chiba para nuevos artistas, un reconocimiento que impulsó su carrera profesional.

A lo largo de su trayectoria ha destacado por crear historias dirigidas al público adulto, caracterizadas por un profundo análisis psicológico, personajes complejos y temas controvertidos.
