Synopsis "Mutual Aid Amongst Ourselves"

"We can affirm that in the ethical progress of man, mutual support not mutual struggle--has had the leading part." This zine, drawn from Peter Kropotkin's iconic text Mutual Aid: A Factor of Evolution, illustrates the enduring spirit of mutual aid--and our natural inclination toward it. This detailed account of village uprisings, peasant revolts, and religious protests around the world shows that people have held tightly to a mutual aid ethic even under direct threat from the State. Inside, you'll find visionary insights and historical examples of communities supporting each other against all odds, showing that maybe rugged individualism isn't as innate as we've been taught! Maybe, instead, it's natural for us to take care of each other. Share this pocket-sized deep dive with your craft circle, neighborhood group, or activist pals to learn from the past and inspire the future!
