Ted Dennison is a security consultant and part time private detective. A boring surveillance job leads to London's seedy underbelly where an unlikely group pray on young girls experimenting with the oldest profession. Ted agrees to save a girl from a group of pimps but one girl leads to a dozen; and then the father of a girl who is still missing. He wants Ted to find his daughter. The investigation seems to be on track with no real problems until the pimps find out who Ted is - then an explosion of violence threatens Ted's life, and then, when he tries to defend himself, his liberty. The book explores London as it was in the early eighties when mobile phones where only in a futurist's dreams and policemen enjoyed a pint or several.
