Cuando me di cuenta de que ese no era mi carro, era, como dicen, demasiado tarde. Cuando prendí el carro equivocado, y salí del garaje del centro comercial como si no pasara nada, no me imaginaba que llegaría a un edificio desconocido, a un apartamento desconocido, a un mundo desconocido.
En el parqueadero del centro comercial Hacienda Santa Bárbara, Pablo Uribe toma por equivocación el carro de la familia Silva Romero, idéntico al suyo, que el chofer había sacado sin permiso. Después de dejarlo en casa de sus dueños ingresa al apartamento vacío -los Silva están de vacaciones- donde teje de manera digital, en el computador que allí encuentra, el texto de la novela que después Ricardo Silva, cuando llega, glosa y completa con notas a pie de página, para darnos cuenta, con humor e ironía, de su antigua y juvenil visión del mundo, desde una soledad irredimible.

Ricardo Silva Romero was born in Bogotá in 1975. He is the author of the novels A Christmas Tale on La Gran Vía, Walkman, Tic, Looks Like It's Going to Rain, End, The Man of a Thousand Names, In Order of Height, Own Goal, Once Upon a Time in Colombia -composed of Romantic Comedy and The Scarecrow-, The Book of Envy, Official History of Love, Everything Will Be Alright, How to Lose Everything (winner of the V Colombian Narrative Library Award) and Dead River. He also published a volume of essays on fiction titled Fictionary, the play Sunday, two collections of stories, two poetry books, and a couple of genre-less books.
