Cain did not have to be jealous of his brother because God had told Cain how to receive favor for himself. Jealousy and anger was so deeply rooted inside of Cain until it made him commit murder. Cain would have rather killed his own sibling then to take the advice of the Lord God our Savior. God was not pleased with what Cain had done so God cursed Cain.
